Configure Internet options for Internet Connection Sharing

To configure Internet options for Internet Connection Sharing

  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
  3. On the Connections tab, click Never dial a connection, and then click LAN Settings.
  4. In Automatic configuration, clear the Automatically detect settings and Use automatic configuration script check boxes.
  5. In Proxy Server, clear the Use a proxy server check box.

Notes

  • To open Internet Explorer, click Start, point to All Programs, and then click Internet Explorer.
  • If an Internet connection has not been previously established, the New Connection Wizard starts. For more information about establishing an Internet connection, click Related Topics.
  • Internet Connection Sharing, Internet Connection Firewall, Discovery and Control, and Network Bridge are not available on Windows XP 64-Bit Edition.
